I am so excited as I just finished up the mini album that I started for my sister a couple of weeks ago. It went together fairly quickly at first; however, the creative juices began to run dry about a week into the project. I plodded along every day trying to do just one thing and this afternoon it picked up again and I was able to complete it ... or at least to the level that I will be giving it to her so that she can journal about the trip herself. The album I used for the project was a Creative Imaginations Bare Elements Peek-A-Book album and all of the paper and embellishments were Basic Grey Lime Rickey.
For this family trip, we rented a house in San Diego that was right on the beach. The boys loved it as they were able to roll out of bed every morning and head to the beach to play in the sand and water.
MJ and the little boys came in first, so we headed to the beach to wait on the other to fly in for the week. Miles and Cole had a blast on the beach as they were the only ones there.
Next up are a couple of pages about the fabulous zoos that we visited there. The kids had a ball at each of them and they both had a very different feel to them, but both were amazing in their own way.
The kids loved the Wii that I brought down for the week .. both the little kids and the big kids (i.e. - Craig and Scott). Every night we had a tournament ... bowling, shooting, tennis, etc. It was a great way for the kids to have fun so that all of us gals could sit around and talk.
Uncle Scott even made a sand turtle with all of the kids. Isn't it the coolest!
One day we headed down to Tijuana for a little shopping and some great photo ops. The boys wanted wrestling masks and boy where they plentiful there. We even took the family Christmas card picture there, but the one above was of just my sister's family.
On one of the final days there, we piled into the cards and drove up to La Jolla and headed to the beach to take a few family photos. They are some of my favorite photos to date!
The last pull out is of Mary Jon and the little boys on Coronado Beach. Such a fun place to see!
So, another project off the to do list and only a couple hundred more to go ...
